New York Fashion Tech Lab (NYFTLab), a community-driven relationship building, collaboration, and business development platform, has unveiled its seventh programme. The 2020 Lab programme comprises eight women-led emerging technology companies, which offer market-ready solutions for some of the industry’s biggest challenges and opportunities. During the programme, innovators, brands, and retailers will closely collaborate, addressing the opportunities technology presents for shaping the fashion industry’s future.New York Fashion Tech Lab (NYFTLab), a community-driven relationship building, collaboration, and business development platform, has unveiled its seventh programme. The 2020 Lab programme comprises eight women-led emerging technology companies, which offer market-ready solutions for some of the industry`s biggest challenges and opportunities.# New York Fashion Tech Lab (NYFTLab) has been co-founded by Springboard Enterprises and key fashion retailers to support women-led companies that have developed innovations at the intersection of fashion, retail, and technology. Companies selected for the 2020 cohort are working with commercialising solution-based technology including predictive analytics, in-store consumer engagement, AI powered product personalisation, advanced 3D/AR, circular economy and sustainability. “The New York Fashion Tech Lab is proud to be a cornerstone in fashion tech advancement, and a source of forecasting and fostering innovation that continues to push this industry forward,” says Kay Koplovitz, co-founder of The NYFTLab and Springboard Enterprises. “As NYFTLab continues to help weave the fabric of fashion’s future, we credit so much of the success we’ve enjoyed since 2014 to the engagement of our partners and their commitment to collaboration and open access.” NYFTLab is supported by top tier retail, brand and tech partners including returning partners LVMH, Macy’s, Kohl's, Levi Strauss and Co, Estée Lauder Companies, PVH Corp, Perry Ellis International, Accenture, Microsoft, and Avery Dennison. 2020 Lab programme newcomers American Eagle Outfitters, and HSBC Group have joined the Lab for 2020. “We are proud to be a partner for NYFTLab for another year,” says Jill Standish, global retail leader for Accenture. “Bringing innovative solutions to our retail clients while supporting women-lead start-ups fits directly with our ambition in the market.” Spring Place, a collaborative community of global professionals and entrepreneurs, is the home of The NYFTLab for the fourth consecutive year. The 2020 Lab programme will culminate with annual Tech Runway Demo Day on June 4, hosted by InStyle at Meredith Corporation in New York.
